Black Friday - How About Gas and Grocery Discounts?

I am a little late to talk about Black Friday but its something that comes every year so I think its a fair game. The day before I heard on news that a couple people died during the Black Friday shopping frenzy. One Wal-Mart employee I think was victim of a stampede that couldn’t hold on to their horses to buy everything that was unnecessary.

Black Friday to some is more important than any other holidays. More and more people look towards Thanksgiving not because they love the tradition or the meaning of it but because of the sale that hits the stores the very next day. Nothing wrong with that. people have their own way of taking things. But what is more important - things that we need or things that we want? I would say things that we need.

Since everything goes on sale on Black Friday for half the price and some for nothing at all, why can’t we do something about the gas and groceries. Those are two things that we never see going down, although gas has seen quite a drop down in price. Groceries are outrageous. Now don’t tell me I am a guy and shouldn’t be talking about groceries. Remember I do a lot of housework around and am not your typical “I am the sh**” guy. I think it would be appropriate if as consumers we could enjoy Black Friday gas and grocery sales, don’t you?
